"My songs are a hybrid of the music I heard as I grew up…" Lex shared with a smile.

Lex Lang was born in Hollywood, California.  A musician and singer from the age of seven, song writing has played a major role in his evolution as an artist.

Early in his career, Lex's influences were primarily The Beatles, Led Zeppelin , Peter Frampton, Billy Joel, light rock and 70's top forty.

He wrote over thirty songs on the piano before discovering his primary instrument, the guitar.  Lex's influences grew to include harder guitar driven rock, Van Halen, Pink Floyd, Bon Jovi, Bad Company and an assortment of other rock and roll groups.

Lex joined his first band "KLM" at the age of sixteen.  He played with them for a little over a year.   Lex then moved on to be the lead singer and guitarist for the band "French Kiss", a touring band that played sexy blues driven rock.  "French Kiss" toured Ireland and Europe opening for popular rock groups during the summer of 1987.

In the summer of 1988 Lex was awarded a scholarship to the Musicians Institute, so he moved back to Hollywood. During that year he met Dave Odegaard (guitarist extraordinaire) and started the band, "Wild Horses" a rock and roll power trio.
In Aug. 2004, Dave released a new instrumental guitar CD titled "SECOND ATTENTION". Check out Dave's site for more info www.daveodegaard.com

Later that year, Lex met and collaborated with actor/writer Bentley Mitchum.   Lex and Bentley formed the band, "The Velvet Box".   Lang and Mitchum wrote a collection of songs for the concept album, "Love is Love" a journey though the stages of a relationship.  TVB played clubs and venues in and around the Los Angeles area including the Edge TV Beach concert series and the  MTV Music Awards after-party.

Lex moved on to form his solo project "LeXLang".  His latest compositions consist of eleven new songs.

He is currently playing throughout the L.A. area with the talented Scott "Scorch" MacDonald ,  Rod Louden,  Ronik Ital,  Mike Celenza, Mary Elizabeth, Kelli Whitaker and Stefano Valdo.

The new sound is powerful, melodic, and has a soulful, sensual hometown groove.

"LeXLang" was voted best unsigned band at the NAMM show in Los Angeles.

LA music critics agree, "LeXLang captures the warmth and soul of quality song writing and has an original sound that relates to the masses..."
